CAN ISLAM MAKE PEACE WITH ISRAEL?
The war in Israel is not just between people- it is between ideologies and religions. The religion of the Arabs is Islam, so let’s talk about Islam and Israel.
In Islam the world is divided into two camps. Dar al-Islam (The House of Submission) is the area controlled by Islam. (this is sometimes known as Dar as salaam- The house of peace)
The Rest of the world is referred to as Dar al-Harb (The House of the Sword). In other words, Dar al-Harb is the area not yet under the domination of Islam.
The nation of Israel is in an area that used to be part of Dar al-Islam and, because of this, the presence of that nation in islamic land is an offence to Islam and to Allah….
“The governments of the world should know that Islam cannot be defeated. Islam will be victorious in all the countries of the world and Islam and the teachings of the Koran will prevail all over the world.” (Ayatollah Khomeini “The Blood of the Moon” page 72)
“We shall export our revolution to the whole world. Until the cry, ‘Allahu akbar’ resounds over the whole world, there will be struggle. There will be jihad!” (The same)
If this is true in Dar al-Harb, it is a thousand times more true in Dar al-Islam. The land, now known as Israel, is considered to have been stolen from Dar al-Islam. It is against the Koran to allow non-Moslems to rule in the House of Islam or to make peace with them.
"Anyone who relinquishes a single inch of Jerusalem is neither an Arab nor a Muslim."
Yasser Arafat, Chairman of the P.L.O.(Voice of Palestine, Algiers, 2 September 1993)
"Despite all the conspiracies, Jerusalem and Palestine from the River (Jordan) to the (Mediterranean) Sea will remain Islamic until judgment day...." Ikrama Sabri, Palestinian Authority mufti for Jerusalem, in his weekly sermon at the Temple Mount's Al-Aksa Mosque (Voice of Palestine Radio, 9 May 1997)
"The Zionist entity exists on seized land. The Jews remain enemies because they expropriate lands, build settlements and pay high sums to buy properties. They are the greatest enemies of us Muslims." Ikrama Sabri, Palestinian Authority mufti for Jerusalem. "The Zionist entity" is a common euphemism used by those who do not recognize the legitimacy of the State of Israel. (The New York Times, 18 May 1997)
"The Islamic Land of Palestine is one and cannot be divided. There is no difference between Haifa and Nablus, between Lod and Ramallah, between Jerusalem and Nazareth. Dividing Palestine into cantons and giving recognition to the occupation is prohibited by Sharia (Islamic religious law), since Palestinian is Wakf (Islamic Trust) for all Moslems in the East and in the West. No one has the right to give it up or to forsake it. The liberation of Palestine is a mandatory obligation for all Moslems and not only for our Palestinian nation." Sheikh Yuosouf Abu Sneina, official preacher of the Al Aqsa Mosque, on Palestinian Radio (April 30, 1999):
“I want to say that this is our Palestine, from Metulla [Israel's northernmost city] to Rafiah [Southern border] and to Aqaba [Israel's southernmost point], from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea; whether they want it or not.” Dr. Jareer Al-Kidwah, advisor to President Arafat, PA TV broadcast, November 29, 2000
"Allah made it clear to us through the laws of the Sharia (Islamic religious law), and we say: The Islamic Land of Palestine is one and cannot be divided. There is no difference between Haifa and Nablus, Lod and Ramallah, Jerusalem and Nazareth or Gaza and Ashkelon. Palestine is Wakf land that belongs to Moslems throughout the world and no one has the right to give it up or to forsake it. Whoever does this is a traitor to the trust and is nothing but a loathsome criminal whose end shall be in hell." Sheikh Ikrima Sabri, the Palestinian Authority appointed Mufti of Jerusalem and Palestine, on Palestinian TV (January 11, 2001):
“Believers, do not seek the friendship of the infidels and those, who were given the book before you, who have made of your religion a jest and a diversion. Have fear of Allah, if you are true believers. When you call them to pray, they treat their prayers as a jest and a diversion. This is because they are devoid of understanding. Say: “People of the Book” (Jews and Christians) Is it not that you hate us only because we believe in Allah and in which has been revealed to us and to others before, and because most of you are evil-doers?” Say: “Shall I tell you who will receive a worse reward from God? Those whom God has cursed and with whom he has been angry, transforming them into apes and swine, and those who serve the devil. Worse is the plight of these, and they have strayed farther from the right path.” The Koran “The Table” Chapter 5
“Believers, take neither Jews nor Christians for your friends. They are friends with one another. Whoever of you seeks their friendship shall become one of their number. God does not guide the wrongdoers”. (The same)
“The one sent by Allah (Mohammed) has already said the great hour will not come until the Moslems make war on the Jews and kill so many of them that when a Jew would hide behind a tree or a stone these objects will speak and say, O Moslem, servant of God, there is a Jew behind me. Come and kill him. The Haddith (Moslem tradition)
“Allah’s messenger- may peace be upon him- has commanded: Fight the Jews and kill them. Pursue them until even a stone would say: Come here, Moslem, there is a Jew hiding himself under me. Kill him. Kill him quickly.” (Moslem Tradition)
“When judgment day arrives Allah will give every Muslim a Jew or a Christian to kill so that the Muslim will not enter into hell fire.” (Mishkat Al-Messabih, vol 2, no 5552)
Narrated Anas bin Malik: A Jew passed by Allah's Apostle and said, "As-Samu 'Alaika." (Death to you) Allah's Apostle said in reply, "We 'Alaika." Allah's Apostle then said to his companions, "Do you know what he (the Jew) has said? He said, 'As-Samu 'Alaika.'" They said, "O Allah's Apostle! Shall we kill him?" The Prophet, said, "No. When the people of the Book greet you, say: 'Wa 'Alaikum.'" (Haddith, Volume 9, Book 84, Number 60.
“Our war against the Jews is an old struggle that began with Mohammed…It is our duty to fight the Jews for the sake of Allah and religion .It is our duty to end the war that Mohammed began. (Al Ahram. Nov 26th 1955)
“Surely the judgment of Allah is reserved for them (Jews) until Palestine is transferred from Dar al-Harb to Dar al-Islam.” (Yasser Arafat. Quoted in “The Blood of the Moon, p 47)
“You don’t understand…Islam can never negotiate or recognize Israel.” (Hamas leader in BBC interview 1994)
“Islam, Christianity and Judaism to coexist in safety and security can only prevail under the shadow of Islam.” Hamas charter.
“Our position is clear: all of Palestine. Every inch of Palestine belongs to the Muslims.” Mahmoud Zahar, senior leader of Hamas -Quoted in the Jerusalem Post, November 14, 2003
On August 19, Palestinian Clerics Association Deputy Director Sheikh Muhammad Ali was interviewed by Hizbullah's Al-Manar TV. In the interview, he discussed Jihad as the duty of all Muslims, and the coming conquest of all of Palestine through Jihad, not negotiation. He went on to explain in detail the prophetic tradition of "the stone and the tree" (Wa'd al-hajar wa-'l-shajar),
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "Any land, any piece of land, over which flies the banner of 'There is no god but Allah, and Muhammad is His Messenger,' and which at a certain point belonged to the Muslims - as far as we are concerned, plundering and occupying such land is forbidden, and it is the duty of all Muslims to do what they can to liberate this land, wherever it may be. True, many precious Muslim lands are under occupation today. They have been forgotten, and Andalusia is one example. Nevertheless, it is the duty of the Muslims to liberate them. But since we are discussing Palestine, Gaza, and so on, let us focus on this precious piece of Muslim land, especially since Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque belong to all Muslims, and have become a part of the Muslim faith.
"When a piece of Muslim land is occupied, the duty of liberating it falls, first of all, upon the local residents, as decreed by the religious rulers. It is, first of all, the duty of the local residents."
Moderator: "In the past they were called the people of the frontier."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "True. Very good."
Moderator: "The people of a certain frontier fulfill their duty."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "They are the spearhead of the liberation effort. But when they are too few, or they cannot - it is the duty of the next in line to liberate this land."
Moderator: "When you say next, you mean those closest geographically?"
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "Yes. That's what I mean. But if they are unable to do it either, it becomes the duty of all Muslims to do what they can to liberate it. According to the hadith of the Prophet Muhammad, not only when an entire homeland is occupied, but when 'even an inch of Muslim land is occupied, Jihad is a personal duty, a religious obligation incumbent upon everyone. A wife must go, even without her husband's permission, and a slave must go - if there are slaves - without his master's permission.' They must liberate this land - and this is when only an inch is occupied, let alone when it is Palestine, Jerusalem, and Al-Aqsa that are occupied."
Moderator: "Honorable sheikh, there is a peculiar paradox: The Zionists are afraid of the weapons of the resistance, which are simple weapons, but they are not afraid of the weapons of the Arab regimes. Why is this?"
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "You know why? Because the weapons of the resistance are free."
Moderator: "The decision..."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "The decision-making is free."
Moderator: "So, they fear the decision-making..."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "... and not any particular type of weapon."
Moderator: "They are afraid of the Qassam missiles, which are very simple and basic, while neighboring countries have missiles, planes, and tanks."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "In many countries the missiles and tanks have become rusty."
Moderator: "How come [the Zionists] don't demand their disarmament?"
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "These weapons do not scare them because they know that there is a decision [not to use them]. On the other hand, the weapons of the resistance are the martyrdom seekers - whether men, women, or boys."
Moderator: "They are not subject to any political decision."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "None whatsoever."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "The Prophet Muhammad foretold in a hadith that 'Judgment Day would come only when the Muslims fight the Jews, and the Muslims would kill the Jews, and the stone and tree would say: 'Oh, Muslim, servant of Allah, there is a Jew' - of course he was referring to the occupying Zionist Jew - 'there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him', except for the Gharqad tree.'"
"Allah willing, we will enter [Palestine] as conquerors and liberators, not through negotiations, but through Jihad and resistance, because the hadith goes: 'And the Muslims would kill the Jews' - there is killing involved."
Moderator: "This divine prophecy, which appears in the hadith and in Koranic verses, denies the legitimacy of normalization or any agreement, because it is only a matter of time, and the Muslims will eventually liberate Jerusalem and regain Palestine."
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "How peculiar it is that the Zionists believe this, while many leaders, regimes and Arabs do not believe this. This is very sad, strange, and puzzling. Of course, I mean the Muslims and Arabs that are misinformed. The Jews acknowledge this because they find it in their forged Torah, in their Talmud."
"Today, the Jews plant this tree in large numbers in Palestine, because they acknowledge this."
Moderator: "The Ghardaq tree?"
Sheikh Muhammad Ali: "Not Ghardaq, Gharqad.
"Since they believe that the Zionist entity will disappear... They are only trying to stall. They are not trying to establish themselves but to delay the fulfillment of the divine prophecy of the liberation of all of Palestine and the wiping out of the Zionist entity. If the Jews and the Zionists were to leave Palestine now, the war would be over, and the Middle East and the entire world could sigh in relief. But the Jews, these Zionists, are against humanity, not just against Muslims."
